For this challenge, we conceptualised the wall art to make the place more cheerful and welcoming. I worked with my fellow team members and hand-painted the entire wall using Airbrushing and paint brushes.
Few spaces at the campus were clearly not as lit as it was supposed to be, and we at GSAC believed in making our surroundings more fun to experience. As a part of the Challenge, each discipline was Allotted a space, some paint materials and tools and 4 days to turn the spaces into something really good.
After 2 hours of Brainstorming, we came up with the idea of representing our Discipline, "Toy & Game Design". Since it was made on the walls of the adjacent Workshop, we call it the "Toy Factory".
1. Management: Making sure the Team members are together and giving their best.
2. Ideation: Conducted the Brainstorming and Ideation Sessions with the team.
3. Finalising the Concept: Understanding everyone's Key Ideas and Conceptualising as the one complete Art.
4. Composition: Creating the look and feel of the Final Art.
5. Mockups: Testing the Compositions and the Colour Palette Through Photoshop Mockups.
6. Materials and tools: Purchasing the art materials and tools required for the Project.
7. Drawing & Painting: Hand painting and Airbrushing the details and final touches along with the team.
Reflection and Learning:
This project was more than just an artistic assignment; it was a journey of self-discovery and team-building. It taught us the value of collaboration, the beauty of diverse perspectives, and the power of a shared vision. As the leader, I learned the delicate art of balancing guidance with freedom, allowing creativity to flourish under the umbrella of a unified goal.
Impact and Reception:
The mural has since become a focal point of admiration and contemplation. Viewers often see pausing, reflecting, and finding their interpretations in their myriad forms and colours. The project's success lies not just in its visual appeal but in its ability to evoke emotions and provoke thoughts.
